HowToUseStorage

For Code-Repositories on FladiAt? see HowToUseSubversion.

Private Home

SSH

It is possible to access your personal Home on uni.fladi.at through SSHv2 for either shell or file access (with both SCP and SFTP). Only your FladiAtAccount can access your Home!
  • Server: uni.fladi.at
  • Port: 22
  • Path: /home/users/<Username>

PublicWeb

Inside your Home there should be a directory called PublicWeb. Every file and directory inside will be exposed through HTTP on http://storage.fladi.at/~<Username>/. Write access is only granted through SSH.
  • Server: storage.fladi.at
  • Port: HTTP/80 or HTTPS/443
  • Path: /~<Username>/

Private WebDAV

There is a "*.dav*" directory in every Home which has special rights assigned on the file system level. It allows you to store private files through WebDAV?. It's primary use is as a storage for the following applications:
  • CalDAV? files for MozillaLightning?
  • Adressbooks for AdressbookSynchronizer?
  • Bookmarks for FoxmarksSynchronizer?
It does not support file listings! Only your FladiAtAccount is allowed to read or write files on this storage.
  • Server: storage.fladi.at
  • Port: HTTP/80 or HTTPS/443
  • Path: /private/

Shared Storage

This storage can be access through WebDAV?. Authenticated Users are granted read and write access. No anonymous access is granted but all users see the same files and directories.
  • Server: storage.fladi.at
  • Port: HTTP/80 or HTTPS/443
  • Path: /shared/

Public Storage

This storage can be access through WebDAV? similar to the Shared Storage. Authenticated Users are granted read and write access and they all share the same files and directories. Anonymous users are granted read access.
  • Server: storage.fladi.at
  • Port: HTTP/80 or HTTPS/443
  • Path: /public/

Anonymous Storage

For users without a FladiAtAccount there is the option to create a temporary user to upload and download files through WebDAV?. To access this area of storage one has to request a password through a web-form by supplying a valid email-address. A random password which can be used for a maximum of 24 hours will then be sent to this email-address. The password can be requested here: http://storage.fladi.at/
There are some restrictions in place for this area:
ALERT! Files will be deleted after 24 hours after their upload finished!
ALERT! Each uploaded file is visible for all other users and can possibly be overwritten by them!
  • Server: storage.fladi.at
  • Port: HTTP/80 or HTTPS/443
  • Path: /anonymous/
  • Username: The email-address supplied while requesting the password
  • Password: The one sent received by email
